Into The Lab: ADA Dolls
Thank you for joining us on another episode of Into The Lab, our creative, cross-chain movement! Today we will celebrate creativity and community with our friends (and Lab partners) over at Ada Dolls, a unique 3D rendered collection on Cardano!
But we’ll let them do the talking and tell you all about their project!
Hey, it’s great to see you again and catch up! Why don’t you give everyone a brief introduction to your project?
Sure thing! Ada Dolls is an NFT collection inspired by collectible vinyl art toys, and a love of all things graffiti. Season 01 dropped back in May 2021 consisting of 2,500 male dolls followed by Season 02 with 2,500 females.
If any of you can recall, Ada Dolls and Fort Gotten previously worked together on a limited series called “Buddy,” so The Lab is the next chapter in our collaborative journey!
Absolutely, it’s always such a pleasure to work with you kidz! What would you say excites you the most about your project and its future?
So, collaboration was a big part of Ada Dolls’ beginning. Season 01 contained a small selection of collabs with other CNFT projects, which was followed by the Buddy series. More collaboration with other projects is the most exciting part of our future.
That is quite exciting indeed! I can’t wait to see what other collaborations come to life in the future! So, give us the insider scoop… do you have any favorite NFTs or NFT projects?
I’m into projects that are distinctive and different from everything else. The style of the artwork is the most important aspect for me. In no particular order: Fort Gotten (obv.), Yummi Universe, Ugly Bros, Universe 25, Bored Claude, and many more!
Love those projects! It’s great to hear you enjoy Fort Gotten as well. We’re huge fans of Ada Dolls and your take on creative exploration. As an artist yourself, what inspires you to create?
I mean, creating is just second nature at this point. I’m always making things, drawing, and sketching, and have done so since I was a Kid. Although, most of the stuff I create doesn’t see the light of day. I enjoy the process of creating and every once in a while, a nice piece of art materializes!
Now that’s true love for art! As someone whose creativity is second nature to them, what tip would you give an aspiring creative?
If you like creating, create! Stick to doing what you enjoy and not what you think people will like!
That’s great advice, be true to who you are and the art will flow! We’ll let you get back to your creative process, but before we do we have one last question for you!
What would you tell your inner kid if you had the chance?
Don’t let adult responsibilities beat down your inner Kid fun.
Thanks for stopping by kidz, hope to see you all around camp!
